The first time I heard of a Neti pot was from Theresa, my pharmacist daughter-in-law. She said that it was great for sinuses, but not for the faint of heart. She went on to explain that with the aid of a Neti pot, you gently push a sterile solution through one nostril, until it comes out of the other. Then you repeat the processes with the other nostril. The amazing thing is, it's not as bad as it sounds, and it works. There are different types of nasal irrigation devices. The Neti pot looks like a genie lamp and you use gravity to send the solution through the sinus cavity. I decided that pushing a button and letting a battery pump the solution through was more to my speed. So my apparatuses is called a NeliMed Singator. The reason I bring it up is this may be the time for you to give it a try. Right now, I'm around some gnarly smoke from forest fires. One of the suggestions to help mediate this is to use a Neti pot to keep your sinuses clear. It's also allergy season, and again the go to is a Neti pot. The same is true with sinuses inflamed by colds. The Neti pot comes from the Ayurvedic/medical tradition and has been effectively used for centuries. I unpacked my sinus irrigator and was reimpressed with how well it works. If you are not faint of heat, it may be for you.
A note: I was away from home and needed to purchase a Neti Pot to save my sinuses. The only one available near me at the time, was gravity fed. I love it, works great and helped me from needing antibiotics. Win, Win.
